In loving Memory of David Jay Thompson, 1995-2024

Our hearts are heavy as we bid farewell to David, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and cherished friend whose light shone brightly in our lives. David passed away, leaving behind a legacy of passion and creativity that touched everyone who knew him.

From a young age, David possessed an innate talent for music and art, captivating us with his extraordinary skill on the guitar, drums, and in the arts. His art was a reflection of his spirit—free, vibrant, funny, expressive, and full of life.

Beyond his artistic talents, David was known for his sense of humor and playful spirit. He had a unique ability to turn any moment into a laughter-filled memory, leaving us with stories that we will cherish forever. His silly antics and quick wit brought joy to countless gatherings, reminding us not to take life too seriously.

David is dearly loved by his family and friends. His presence could brighten even the darkest of days. His departure leaves a void that can not be filled, but his memory will continue to inspire and uplift us all.

He Is survived by his loving mother and father, Rebecca and Mike, his devoted brother, Luke and Zoe, grandparents, Dave and Fran Kirkbride, Linda and Jerry Thompson and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, Brian and Stephanie, cousins who adored him dearly and countless close friends. He joins his Meme, Sandy in the beyond. Together, we mourn the loss of a remarkable young man whose spirit will live on in the melodies he played, the art he created, and the laughter he shared.

Though David’s time with us was far too short, his impact was profound and everlasting. May he find peace in the heavens above, forever strumming his guitar and painting the skies with his creativity.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of David on July 27th at the Dale Hollow Dam Recreation Area in Celina, TN
