Katherene Franklin

Katherene Franklin was born on April 10, 1935, in Clay County, TN and she passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, at The Waters of Springfield at the age of 89. 

Katherene was the daughter of Tommy and Mandy Likens. 

Katherene worked in a garment factory for years and had a special love for Children. She loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Wendell (Donna) Franklin of White House, TN; grandson Daniel Franklin; sister Sue (Billy) Cherry of Moss, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Tom Franklin; brothers Carlos Likens, Radford Likens, Rex Likens, Dumas Likens, Lester Likens, J.T Likens, Willis Likens, Gerald Likens, and Dalton Likens; sisters Ruby Gentry, and Erma Likens.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 19, 2024, 4-8 pm and again on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 10:00 am until time of service at the Clay County Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in the chapel of Clay County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Jonestown Cemetery.

The Family is requesting memorial donations be made to help towards future care of the Jonestown Cemetery.
