Richard Van Ashlock

Richard Van Ashlock was born December 21, 1947, in Cumberland County, KY and he passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at his residence at the age of 75.

He was the son of Archie Van Ashlock and Wilma Dean Poindexter Ashlock.  He was retired and a member of the Ashlock Church of Christ.  On September 30, 1972, he was married to Donita Alene Watson Ashlock.

Mr. Ashlock was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Wanda Scott, Sharon Ashlock and Vonda Wheeler.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Donita Watson Ashlock of Celina; daughters; Teia (Steven) Arms of Celina, Tasha (Benji) Bailey of Celina and Tara (Derrick) Anderson of Celina; brother, Donald Ashlock of Livingston; grandchildren: Kenzie Arms, Keaton Arms, Cooper Bailey, Cori Bailey and Kipp Anderson.

Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023, 11 am to 9 pm and again on Saturday, 8 am to 1 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the chapel of Clay County Funeral Home with Bro. Sammie Dick and Bro. Craig Ogletree officiating.  Burial will follow in Ashlock Cemetery.
