Timothy Duane Kelly

Timothy Duane ‘Tim’ Kelly, 59, of Swann Ridge Road in Clay County passed away July 10, 2024, at Cookeville Regional Hospital surrounded by family.

Tim was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 28, 1965, the son of Jackie Nell Meadows Watkins and Albert Michael Kelly. Tim is survived by his son, Ryan Bovinet of Hilham, TN; brothers, Sean (Rita) Kelly of Rosenberg, TX, Michael Hicks of Celina, TN, Buddy (Teresa) Watkins of Wilmington, NC, Kenneth (Trina) Watkins of Wilmington, NC; sisters, Chrissy Kelly of Wilmington, NC, Tricia Vermuele of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Karyn Kelly of Richmond, TX, Kathleen (Mike) Sigmon of Hickory, NC, Lynn (Ann)Watkins of CA and Diane Mowers (Jeff) of Burkesville, KY; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Lucy. 

Tim is preceded in death by his mother Jackie Watkins, stepfather Pete Watkins, Father Albert Michael Kelly, and brothers Kenneth ‘Butch’ Hicks and John Michael ‘Mike’ Kelly. As well as brother-in-law, John Wayne Vermuele. 

Tim will be profoundly missed and well-remembered for his sense of humor, funny antics, stories,  his delicious BBQ ,and who could forget the “Tim Burger” at Tim’s Place on Cedar Hill.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, 12:00 P.M. noon at Clay County Funeral Home in Celina, Tennessee with Bro. Terry Shelley officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, until time of services at noon. 

Interment will follow at Donaldson Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brad Watson, Eddie Vickory, Trance Mowers, Mickel Norris, Phillip Smith and RJ Forrester.

Clay County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
