Walter Malcom Raines

Walter Malcom Raines was born April 30, 1946, in Celina, TN and he passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 78.

Mr. Raines was the son of Hovie Raines and Cora Ethel Raines. Walter married Ms. Glenda Adams on December 31, 1971. He worked for the Clay County Highway Department for over twenty years.

Preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Homer Raines, Leslie Raines, JT Raines, Turner Raines, Horace Raines, Charlie Raines, and Sister: Dean Green.

Survived by his wife: Glenda Raines of Celina, TN; Sons: Rodney (Suzanne) Raines of Celina, TN, Donnie (Brandy) Raines of Celina, TN, Gregory (Stephanie) Raines of Russell Springs, KY; Sisters Faye Daniels of Celina, TN, Betty Adams of Celina, TN; grandchildren: Jordan (Macy) Raines of Celina, TN, Victoria Raines and Spouse of Celina, Hannah (Zachary) Strong of Celina, TN, Nikita Mansell of Celina, TN, Addison Raines of Russell Springs, KY, Jasmine Rowe of Russell Springs, KY, Thurston Portman of Russell Springs, KY, Emma Portman of Russell Springs, KY, Joseph Portman of Russell Springs, KY, Bryson Boles of Russell Springs, KY, Johnathan Boles of Celina, TN , Leanne Boles of Celina, TN and other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 7, 2025, 11 am to 10 pm at Clay County Funeral Home and Saturday 8 am to 11 am. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in the chapel of Clay County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery.
