Willie Clyde Scott

Willie Clyde Scott was born on September 17, 1940, in Burkesville, Ky, and he passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at The Palace Healthcare and Rehab in Red Boiling Springs, TN at the age of 84.

Willie Clyde married the late Frances Jean Adams Scott on March 31, 1959. He worked as a farmer and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by his parents, Arvil Scott and Lealar Ashlock Scott; wife: Frances Jean Adams Scott; Daughter Shirley Strong; daughter in law: Paula Scott; granddaughter: Patricia Montgomery; and 14 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his sons: Wendell (Rachell) Scott of Lafayette, TN, Durell (Tina) Scott of Celina, TN, Timmy (Late: Paula) Scott of Moss, TN, Elvis Scott of Lafayette, TN; Daughter Late: Shirley (Danny) Strong of Celina, TN; Grandchildren: 14, Great Grandchildren: 19, Great-Great Grandchildren 1, his puppy, Pickles, and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Clay County Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Reagan, officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made towards Pine Hill Cemetery.
